The program began at Union City Hall, where the Consul General and delegation were welcomed by Mayor Gary Singh, City leadership, and representatives of the Union City Chamber of Commerce. The visit included a civic orientation followed by an Executive Roundtable on Economic Partnership and Community Collaboration.

The roundtable provided an opportunity for representatives of the Philippine Consulate General, the City of Union City, and the Chamber to discuss opportunities related to economic development, trade, investment, workforce development, education, and future community partnerships.

Following the City Hall program, the Chamber hosted a Community and Business Leaders Luncheon at Tribu Grill. The luncheon brought together local business owners, community leaders, civic representatives, Chamber leadership, and members of the Consulate delegation for introductions, conversation, and relationship-building.

The visit was coordinated through the efforts of Chamber President Jim Navarro, whose relationship with the Philippine Consulate General helped create the opportunity to bring the Consul General to Union City.

“This visit reflects the Chamber’s commitment to bringing together government, business, and community leaders to create new opportunities for Union City,” said Navarro. “We were honored to welcome Consul General Talisayon and look forward to building upon the relationships established during his visit.”

The Chamber views the inaugural visit as the beginning of an ongoing relationship among the Philippine Consulate General, the City of Union City, the Union City Chamber of Commerce, and the local business and community leadership.

Future discussions may include opportunities in economic development, trade, investment, education, workforce development, cultural exchange, and community collaboration.
